Vincent Guérard joined Devichy with a clear vision: to offer a legal practice that is human, rigorous, and deeply rooted in the protection of individuals’ rights and dignity.
Before being called to the Bar, he built his expertise in demanding environments — working for several years as a legal technologist, serving as a 9-1-1 dispatcher at the heart of emergency situations, and later teaching at the college level, where he continues to train the next generation of professionals. This unique path highlights his remarkable ability to balance high-pressure situations with attentive listening and strategic analysis.
Since joining the Bar, Vincent has distinguished himself through a practice focused on vulnerable individuals and complex social issues, notably in health law, human rights (particularly for persons with disabilities and the 2ELGBTQI+ community), and family law. His experience as a solo practitioner allowed him to develop sharp autonomy, strong discipline, and a client-centered approach. He has represented clients before the courts of Joliette, Saint-Jérôme, and elsewhere in Quebec.
Versatile and fully bilingual, he combines deep human commitment with a modern legal approach. As a teacher, strategist, and hands-on lawyer, he values clarity, dignity, and practical solutions over complexity for its own sake.
His integration into the firm aligns with his guiding promise: to bring a vision of law that is both understandable and deeply human, within a structure that shares his values of excellence, professional solidarity, and community engagement.
Vincent speaks French, English, and has conversational knowledge of Spanish.
