Known for his contagious energy, reassuring presence, and deeply human approach, Mike Allan Dyer stands out for his sincere commitment to children and families. With a dynamic and positive personality, he approaches each case with professionalism, empathy, and adaptability, always guided by the best interests of the child.
With extensive experience within Québec’s judicial system, Mike has developed a practical understanding of court operations and the realities faced by families involved in youth protection matters. Prior to his admission to the Bar, he worked as a court clerk at the Montréal and Longueuil courthouses, where he assisted judges and played an active role in the daily management of court proceedings.
As a lawyer, he has primarily practised within legal aid, both as duty counsel and in the youth sector. He has represented and supported parents and young people in sensitive cases often marked by urgency, vulnerability, and complex human dynamics. This practice has allowed him to develop strong courtroom skills, attentive listening, and sound judgment, even in the most delicate situations.
A natural educator, Mike is also involved in university-level teaching and legal training. He has served as a lecturer and instructor, particularly in matters of criminal procedure and evidence, reflecting his intellectual rigour and his ability to explain the law with clarity and compassion.
Fully bilingual and comfortable in multicultural environments, Mike joins Devichy Avocats with enthusiasm. He brings his energy, professionalism, and human approach to providing strong, accessible, and respectful representation to children and families facing youth protection proceedings.
