A member of the Quebec Bar since 2004, Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in legal sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She began her career in matrimonial law in Longueuil before continuing her practice for more than thirteen years with Pascale Artuso, Avocats, in Montreal, where she developed strong expertise in family, civil, and corporate law. She later practiced with the firms Karavoulias Avocats and Simard Boivin Lemieux, s.e.n.c.r.l., in addition to managing her own practice on several occasions.

Throughout her career, Julie has distinguished herself through her attentiveness, professional rigor, and ability to build lasting trust with her clients. Her diverse background allows her to approach each case with a deep understanding of both human and legal issues.

At Devichy Avocats, Julie leads the family and youth protection law team at our Alma office, where she continues to provide empathetic and effective representation to the firm’s clients.

His practice spans a broad range of cases, including hidden defects, construction issues, civil liability, disputes between co-owners or neighbors, contractual conflicts, employment-related matters, and landlord-tenant relations. Known for his precision, Marc-Antoine quickly stood out within his team. In the early stages of his career, he was entrusted with the responsibility of arguing a case before the Court of Appeal to overturn a Superior Court judgment — a rare opportunity for a junior lawyer.

Before being called to the Bar, Marc-Antoine completed his law studies at Université Laval and also pursued legal training in English law at the University of Birmingham. This dual academic background gives him a broad legal perspective, which he applies to complex matters involving real estate law, contract law, co-ownership law, labour law, and housing law. His intellectual discipline and analytical strength make him a valuable ally for both clients and colleagues.

Sophie firmly believes in the presumption of innocence and the possibility of rehabilitation for everyone. Justice is one of her fundamental values. She attended a number of universities around the world (Canada, France and Italy), in addition to the education she received in a negotiation program at Harvard University’s Faculty of Law. Ms. Morsella graduated with a specialized joint B.A. in History and Political Science and a Bachelor of Laws.

As a member of the Quebec Bar since 1987, Ms. Morsella advocates for and strives to ensure that her clients obtain what they are entitled to in each case.

Since Mr. Martin began practising law, he has pleaded numerous cases, preliminary hearings and all kinds of motions. He has taken on extremely difficult files with very high-stake issues. Louis-Alexandre is fervent enthusiast of trial techniques. He is on a non-stop quest for excellence in that area. Holding a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Mr. Martin applies his knowledge in cases involving drunk driving.

As for his academic background, Louis-Alexandre was awarded the Bar of Montreal award as well as the Fraser Milner Casgrain award for academic excellence in his university studies. In fact, he graduated at the top of his class. He was also among the winners crowned as the best Francophone litigation team at the Gale Cup Moot, a Canada-wide criminal and constitutional law mooting competition.

A native of Quebec City, she did her studies at Laval University. Since then, she has practised exclusively in the area of family law and youth protection. Passionate about the law and a fierce litigator, she thrives on convincing judges of the merits of her requests.

Early in her career, Veronica quickly distinguished herself by taking on complex and demanding criminal law cases. Her independence, determination, and entrepreneurial vision later led her to achieve a major milestone: building, from the ground up, a family law department within a firm that was initially focused on criminal law. Today, this department stands as one of the core pillars of Devichy Avocats.

Equally comfortable in negotiations and in the courtroom, Veronica is recognized for her outstanding work ethic and unwavering commitment to her clients. She deploys every necessary effort to help them regain stability and peace of mind when facing a family crisis. Her empathetic, human, and mobilizing approach largely explains the strong cohesion and loyalty of the team she has built around her.
