
Yves Bastien is a senior civil litigation and labour law lawyer, with over 30 years’ experience. Before joining Devichy, he practised law at a large firm (Dunton Rainville) and was a prosecutor for the Quebec government. Mr. Bastien has represented major players in various industries, including the Association des restaurateurs du Québec (Quebec restaurant association). He defends the interests of his clients in civil, administrative and penal court matters.
Passionate about law, he was an instructor for the Union des Municipalités du Québec (union of Province of Quebec municipalities), teaching ethics and professional conduct to newly elected officials, and was a trainer for the Conseil québécois des ressources humaines en tourisme (CQRHT – Quebec tourism human resources council). He has also written the legal column « Un avocat vous répond » (A lawyer answers your questions), published in every issue of the Association des Restaurateurs du Québec magazine.
