Marlene Tawfik practices youth protection law within our firm. Ambitious, she completed her BA in Human Relations with Distinction at Concordia University and her Law studies simultaneously with her Master’s degree in Social Work at McGill University.
Devichy Lawyers did everything to convince Marlene to join the team because she is one of those people who are fundamentally guided by a cause that drives them. Her career demonstrates this well: director of the Innocence McGill clinic, co-author of a McGill University report on the social and economic issues of children, specialist in helping children in a CLSC and ultimately a lawyer dedicating herself exclusively to the defense of families and children against the DYP.
Marlene is passionate, persevering and has a special sensitivity to issues related to child protection. Born in Canada, but of Egyptian origin, she represents her clients in English, French and Arabic.
She decided to join the Devichy family because we advocate for children’s rights with passion and rigor.
