Devichy has recently appointed the firm’s very first partners, since its founding six years ago by Me Veronica Vallelonga and Me Xavier Cormier-Lassonde.

The new partners are:

  • Me Jessica Dekhter, a family law attorney who joined us in April 2021. Before joining Devichy, she practiced for several years at the boutique firm Mergui Avocats.
  • Mylène Dufresne, CPA and Director of Finance, who joined the firm in May 2021. With over 20 years of experience in financial control and management accounting, she previously worked for major companies in the construction, technical services, and manufacturing sectors.
  • Me Fabrizio Mancuso, a family law attorney who joined our team in October 2022. A graduate of McGill University’s Faculty of Law, he brings strong expertise in family litigation, gained notably at a prominent family law firm within the Montreal Community Legal Centre.

As partners, they will be consulted by the founders as part of a management committee that will meet in person every month. They also become co-owners of the firm, in defined shares.

It is a true honor to see these team members fully commit to this new phase of our growth. We sincerely thank them for their trust.

A festive dinner capped off a wonderful day of seminars on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

We recently celebrated the 5th anniversary of Devichy Lawyers in the enchanting setting of Club Med Charlevoix!

This event was the perfect opportunity to mark the end of the year with a beautiful holiday dinner, bringing our entire team together in a warm and festive atmosphere.

The agenda featured enriching seminars on family law, youth law, and accounting in a legal environment, followed by moments of relaxation in Club Med’s exceptional facilities. 🥂❄️

Our co-founders, Mr Xavier Cormier-Lassonde and Ms Veronica Vallelonga, took the floor to warmly thank our employees and share their vision of the past, present, and future of the firm. Their speeches were a reminder of our values and our commitment to our clients.

With 70 employees now and the opening of new departments in civil law and immigration this year, we are proud to see Devichy Avocats growing and diversifying to better serve our clients.

Looking back, we can see how far we have come. We now have over 50 employees spread across a dozen cities. We handle more than a hundred requests for legal assistance each day, in legal areas always related to the individual: family law, youth protection, criminal law, and litigation.


Looking to the future, a new era is dawning for Devichy. From the integration, already underway, of artificial intelligence capabilities into our business, to the expansion of our shareholder base and our increasing involvement in the training of a new generation of lawyers, we are eager to raise the bar in terms of excellence in legal services provided to individuals dealing with legal issues.
